Online Whereabouts – SIMON
SIMON covers the following areas:
- contact data (athletes, associations)
- control management
- upload of whereabouts
- results management
- missed tests
- management of TUE (approval of exemptions for therapeutic purposes)
- distribution of information and prevention projects to various addressees
- Feedbacks (from athletes, doping control officers, i.e.)
- Listings, statistics and reports
SIMON makes external websites available to its registered users:
- SIMON Whereabouts (Online Whereabouts Informationen)
- SIMON DCONet (Website for Doping Control Officers)
- SIMON Clearinghouse (Website for national and international federations, WADA, TUE commission etc.)
Important for athletes:
- Athletes can submit information using SIMON Whereabouts Information online. Athletes will receive username and password in a letter from Antidoping Switzerland. Whereabouts can be completed in English, French or German.
- The deadlines for submitting whereabouts are:
- for the 1st quarter 15 December
- for the 2nd quarter: 15 March
- for the 3rd quarter: 15 June
- for the 4th quarter: 15 September
- From 1 July 2009 doping controllers will not have control papers with them but only the Antidoping Switzerland identity card.
- RTP athletes who enter their whereabouts in ADAMS should continue to do so for the time being.
Important for international and national associations and their doping controllers:
- Testing pools, conducted tests, whereabouts information, retirements and contact information can be obtained from the SIMON Clearinghouse Website.
- Reports can be generated automatically.
